Jasbir S. Arora

Jasbir Arora is Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at The University of Iowa. Teaching specialties are optimal design and energy principles, while research specialties are algorithms and formulations for structural and mechanical system optimization, design sensitivity analysis of linear and nonlinear systems, and computational mechanics. Professor Arora is also affiliated with UI's Center for Computer Aided Design where he is Associate Director of the Virtual Soldier Research program.
