Please help us celebrate Professor Witold Krajewski's retirement as Iowa Flood Center director! Witek has served as the visionary leader guiding the Iowa Flood Center's success over the past 15 years. To honor his contributions and impacts on improving Iowa's flood resiliency and advancing scientific discovery and innovation for the broader water resources engineering community, a series of events will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, including:

8:30 a.m.–11:30             A special Iowa Flood Center meeting will be held at the C. Maxwell Stanley Hydraulics Laboratory (seminar room) featuring a presentation by Professor Krajewski reflecting on the past, present, and future of the Iowa Flood Center, as well as additional remarks from close friends and colleagues. A light breakfast, coffee, and refreshments will be provided.

11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.         Lunch will be provided following the Iowa Flood Center meeting.

5–8 p.m.                        The day will end with a casual evening dinner reception. Venue details are forthcoming. Please RSVP by June 10.

We are looking forward to a wonderful event for our dear friend, colleague, and mentor—Witek! We hope to see many current and former students, staff, faculty colleagues, and close partners who have been a part of Witek's career.

Additional information will be shared by email. The Iowa Flood Center website will be updated with event details, or contact Breanna Shea for more information.
